WHAT IS DRONE VIDEOGRAPHY?
Drone videography is the practice of capturing video footage from the air using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly called drones. Equipped with high-resolution cameras and stabilizing gimbals, drones can record smooth, cinematic shots from perspectives that would otherwise be difficult or expensive to achieve — such as sweeping aerial views, smooth tracking shots, and dynamic reveals.

Steady State — My Story
With 22 years of experience in law enforcement—most of it spent in tactical operations—I saw firsthand how rapidly drone technology was advancing and how it was beginning to enhance safety and improve tactical decision-making during high-risk incidents. That evolution sparked a deep interest in exploring the technology further.

In 2024, I earned my Advanced Drone Pilot Certificate through Transport Canada, and from that point forward, I became fully engaged in what modern UAV systems could offer. On my own time, drones quickly became a creative outlet, especially through cinematic filming. What began as a personal passion soon grew into the foundation of a new entrepreneurial path.

My desire to expand my technical skills took me to Denver, Colorado, where I completed a week-long 3D Mapping and Modelling program. There, I learned to maximize the capabilities of my DJI Matrice 4 Enterprise and advanced mapping software, building a strong foundation in photogrammetry and professional data capture.
